Mixing the Old with the New

One of Annika's favorite places to shop is H&M! It's a great place to buy the latest fashion trends, without breaking the bank!

We thought it would be fun for todays blog to show you three different items we purchased at H&M and then how we chose to style them. (with what we already had at home) Our hope is to help inspire you to do the same! It always makes for a super fun challenge and really gets your creative juices flowing!

On this particular shopping spree, we knew that Annika wanted to find something to wear to her valentines day party this weekend with her friends. She was hoping to find something that didn't scream "Valentines Day" so that it could easily be worn even after the holiday is over.

So when Annika found a soft pink hoodie with a tiny heart that was placed over the left chest, Annika knew it would be perfect!

When Annika and I go shopping and find an item of clothing that we love, we immediately start thinking about all the different ways we can style it. Annika loved the idea of keeping her look relaxed and casual by pairing the hoodie with a pair of ripped skinny jeans and some pink sneakers.

Annika also loved the option of styling the pink hoodie in a more sophisticated way by pairing it with her black leather legging, heeled bootie, and black cabby style hat.

Our next big find at H&M was this black t-shirt with gold writing. T-shirts really can be styled in so many different ways. Here Annika decided to keep with the Valentine theme and add some deep red into the mix. She added a J.Crew wrap blazer (from my closet) and her Zara Faux leather pants with the red stripe down the leg. (Worn also on a previous blog post)

For Annika's next style, she decided to go for a rock'n roll look by pairing the H&M Black and Gold T-shirt with some gold coated Pants (Old -Level99) and a black leather jacket (old -also from H&M).

Annika's final H&M piece she wanted to style for todays blog is this fun off-white sweatshirt with "Au Revoir" written across the front in glittery gold font. Again, she decided to incorporate the gold coated pants. However, this time went for a more casual look by pairing the pants with her Vans Sneakers and black and gold crossbody belt bag.

As you can see with just a few items of clothing, we were able to "mix the old with the new" and come up with some fun and creative looks. We hope this has inspired you to try something similar with your wardrobe. You will be surprised to see how many different outfits you are able to create- All without breaking the bank! 🙂
